It's Been How Many Years?

I was shocked to discover that I paid for the lagardenblog.com url five years ago on January 12th!  It doesn't seem like I've been at this that long.  Looking back, I loved how I was putting up stories and silly none-sense, railing against GMOs (even then) and some articles only tangentially garden related from the very start. I also noted, even though I purchased the url on the 12th, my first blog post was the 29th, eliciting a pattern of procrastination that continues to this day...

No reward as yet, but be patient....

I am grateful for the many of you who have written comments on these posts - it is from those comments I see that someone is actually reading this blog because, after all, that is the why I slave away over a hot keyboard for hours a day.  It is my hope that this blog soon will be offering the book Growing Food in Southern California, which is the book I've been working on for the last three years (at least!).  I have other books already in my mind that will follow after this one, but I admit I'm stuck.  The book needs major rewriting and that is not my strong suit.  

I had an editor for a time who wanted to get rid of every little noodgley bad grammar thing I wrote, but then it wouldn't be as much fun, would it?  So I went back to my editing - which is only one or two sentences per month because I detest doing it.  I've thought of creating a button so folks could gift the finished book to their grand children, but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to deliver in time. 

Thanks to all of you for your support.  If you are in the Southern California area, especially Los Angeles and Orange counties, look for me to be speaking near you soon, it's almost as much fun as reading the blog.  Already I have garden club bookings made into May, so there is a good chance I'll show up in a garden club near you soon!
